Instead of a single, board-wide plot, there are multiple plots, roleplays, characters, and fandoms running amok. Feel free to stick to one genre or try them all.

So I've joined. What can I do now?Once you've joined, make sure to validate your account with the automated email you received.
I'm New, Now What? You are now free to jump into any discussion, partake in the Cbox antics, and begin roleplaying straight away! There is no need for you to wait for staff approval or to fill out an application.
What can my username be?Your username...can be anything under the sun. Within reason. (Ah-ha, you spotted the catch, no?) Usernames should not be profane; adding a ten digit number, your social security number, or your favorite sequence of prime numbers is not necessary. It's likely your handle/alias isn't taken.
What about my avatar? My signature?Avatars are to be 100x100 and the board will resize them, typically, if they are too large.
As for signatures, try not to stretch the boards.
Where can I get an avatar? A signature?Like Spotty's awesome Owl City signature and avatar? Check out the request forum in the Creativity Center, located
here!Are character biographies required?Nope!
But if you would like to post some, feel free to use the

How do I find someone to role play with?If you're looking to roleplay, the first place to check is the
Plot/Roleplay Search forum. Post your own roleplay search thread or post on one of the other members' threads.
How do you post a new topic?After you click on a forum, and so long as you have permission to post -- validating members will find that they do not have permission to post until they have validated their account through the automated email -- you will see a button in the top right hand corner that says "New Topic".
How many words to I have to write?As many or as few as you'd like. We have no word counts here at Visionary Tales!
How do I contact a Staff member?The easiest way to contact a staff member is by personal message. Staff member names are located in the
sidebar. Also you can find staff members in the
Meet the Staff thread.
I feel that I am being bullied/singled out/segregated/am experiencing other problems. What should I do and who should I contact?If this is an issue to do with a staff member or another member of Visionary Tales, please
contact a staff member! It is your responsibility and right to bring it to our attention so it can be dealt with accordingly.
How do I become a member of the staff?When VT needs staff members, Spotty posts applications within the Announcements forum. Keep an eye out for these special announcements if you are interested.

I want to play some forum games! Is Modern Fantasy a good place to post game threads?While Modern Fantasy is the perfect place to post roleplays of fantastical and modern nature, it is not the appropriate forum to play forum games. Try the
Games forum instead.

Why is the C-Box so scary?We tend to be extremely silly on the Cbox, so definitely enter at your own risk. Do not feel discouraged if your post wasn't noticed right away; we sometimes get carried away but do our very best to greet everyone.

-Insert a name in the 'name' field.
-You can also insert a website/email into the email/url field, but it's optional.
-Click on profile and it will ask you to enter a password to register the name. Do so and you're now free to post on the Cbox.
If you're still having difficulty posting, contact Spotty or Crazy via instant messenger or personal message.
What are the blue names on the Cbox?Blue names represent the various staff members on VT. If you have a question, these are the individuals to whom your questions will be fielded. Also, if asked to move on from a topic by one of the staff, do be respectful.
Why are some topics forbidden from the Cbox but not from the forum?The Cbox is meant for everyone, younger members, unsuspecting guests, and all members, so we like to keep sensitive subjects, extremely foul language, and other such topics non-existent. On the boards, you are able to label boards with maturity warnings, so there is definite leniency.
What is "FIST TIME! >D"?This is VT's very own meme. Perhaps your typo will be the next immortalized war-cry on the Cbox.
I've explored the site and discovered the hidden Cbox -- I think it's called the IC Cbox. What is it, and why is it separate from the cbox on the sidebar?Ah, the
IC Box. This chatbox is a place where members can partake in live chatplay. It is separate from the Cbox on the sidebar because all posts within the IC Box must be in character.
I'm trying to post on the IC Cbox, but for some reason, my posts are showing up in the regular Cbox. Did I break it? How do I get it to work properly?Don't worry! For some reason, Cbox is a little stubborn when it comes to two different chatboxes on the same page. Make sure that you use separate windows to use the
IC Box and the main chatbox.
What's that 'Playlist' thing over in the sidebar? How do I contribute to the Playlist track list?The Playlist is VT's very own
