[ooc] I’m copy/pasting this ‘cuz I’m lazy and won’t have time for a brand new intro. [/ooc]
It was another sunny day, but unlike the others, he was somewhere new. The sky of Kanto didn’t look too much different than Johto’s, and that was slightly disappointing. The steel bird who had helped him get here clicked his beak inquisitively as he shone in the morning sun. The human shrugged at his partner, a slight smile on his face. “Heh. You could never keep out of trouble, could you?” The bird looked at the blonde, head tilted to the side.
“Skar. Skarmory.”
“Right. Let’s go, Eamudo. The best place to start looking would be here.” The man looked back to the Skarmory, a smile on his face. He looked around. There had to be something here, anything… There were kids hanging around and going into the building he automatically assumed was the Lab. It looked almost identical to the one in New Bark Town, where Professor Elm worked. Huh… he’d have to go back one day soon and say Hi in person.
He glanced over in time to see the last child and the adult with her enter the Lab. 'It's been a while,' He mused, 'Since the three of us started out.' He looked about twenty-three, his blonde hair short around his face. Blue eyes glanced at the comical Armor Bird Pokemon behind him, who was intently waching the bushes.
"C'mon." The human said, holding out the Skarmory's pokeball to return it, and then slipped it into the right pocket of his darker grey and slightly blue pants. His white jacket had yellow/gold buttons on the front and tops of his sleeves. There were more pokeballs on his person, strung like charms for a bracelet on the gold chain on his pants. By now, everyone had filed into the Lab, making the little town seem empty.
He really didn't have much to do, and besides, he'd look like some stalker or child molester if he walked in there right now. His thoughts were interrupted as the Poketch around his wrist beeped and glowed with a blue hue. Of course. He had originally had no intention or reason for going inside the Lab, but the little piece of technology had forced him into it.
It was a message from Professor Elm, instructing him to receive a package from Oak and bring it back to Johto. There was no rush as long as the package wasn't lost or damaged. He shook his head. There were other reasons he was here, but this was a "legitimate" reason. ‘Heh. May as well get it over with.’ He moved to the door, hand wrapping around the metal doorknob. He gave it a slight twist and pushed the door inwards, catching the attention of a few Lab assistants.
He could feel one of the pokeballs on the chain shake. Of course. Te Pokemon inside probably could tell that this was a lab. It too had begun its adventure with the human in a similar lab, just like these kids would be doing now. Hm. He hadn't thought recently about their adventure. But he had been travelling a lot lately, between working on his Sinnoh Pokedex to travelling for Professor Elm to catching certain Pokemon for the breeders he knew in Johto.
His eyes scanned across the room, watching the lab assistants and scientists work quickly, shuffling trays of pokeballs back and forth, while some Pokemon sat on tables and were being checked out and notes were being written about them before they were returned to their pokeballs. Hm. It was much less busy at the lab in Johto, maybe it was like this because this was the original lab.
He decided to just stand near the door, he wouldn't intrude on this 'special' little day for the kids by asking for the package. The blonde would do it after they had gotten their Pokemon. Thank goodness there was no rush to do this, and he could take his time, allowing him to either do what he intended to do here in Kanto, or he could catch a few Pokemon to take back with him.

00c: Its utter garbage, forgive my failing muse. ><))
BIC// The young woman in white tapped her foot idly on the leg of the table. Her attention completely focused on the task at hand.
“Slide,” she ordered quietly, holding out a gloved hand expectantly to the assistant. Said assistant hurried to obliged, placing a small pane of glass carefully in her latex protected palm. “Thank you,” Willow murmured, fitting the glass into the microscope’s clamps and peering intensely at its magnified form through the lenses. “Ready?” “Yes’m.” The aid held his pen at the ready, prepared to jot down whatever the younger woman said.
“The mutation in the eight dash eleven gene,” She started, speaking slow so that the aid could get her exact wording. “Appears to be related to the evolution of the nine dash one into the nine dash six. This can only mean that when experiment eight dash eleven is exposed to the nine dash one evolutionary gene that mutation, C dash four should take place. Reference to the A thru D sections of the genome codex.”
The aid nodded along as the female scientist continued to ramble on in such a manner. The scientist subconsciously reminding herself of a man she once knew who talked in much the same fashion.
“Sending the spliced genes off into a chaotic evolution between X dash nine and eight dash thirty seven.” She finished with a tired sigh and a grin, reclining back, away from the microscope.
The aid patted her on the shoulder, smiling as well, “As always Ms. Willow, you never cease to amaze me. This is one for the books.” He told her proudly, much like a father to his daughter.
Willow blushed and tried to hide her embarrassed laugh behind a cough. “Thank you, Leon. But you did most of the work, I just interpreted.”
Leon shook his head; the corners of his lined mouth still upturned slightly, “Always the modest one ehh, Ms. Willow-” he was cut short by excited giggles coming from the other room and the sound of Professor Oak opening the Pokeball containment chamber. “The new trainers must be here,” the wizened old man observed, getting to his feet to go look around the of the doorframe. “Yep, two girls and a boy.” Leon waved to Willow and with that went to go help the professor.
Willow smiled and waved back, setting about to clean up. For several minutes she labored away at correctly placing the numerous slides into their proper slots and cleaning any of the equipment she and Leon had used during their long hours spent huddled over them.
As she was carrying a rather large box over to one of the shelves, her eye’s caught sight of a marked date on the calendar. Today’s date. Pursing her lips in confusion, she quickly placed the box in its proper place and made her way back over to the calendar.
“Package pickup…” she murmured, tracing the square with a thin finger. “What could that be?”
It was at this point that she heard the new trainers calling their goodbyes to Professor Oak and Leon. “Professor?” She called, still looking at the calendar.
“Yes?” a older male’s voice called back, “Did you break something?”
“No!” “Then what is it?” “This date.” “What date?” “The one on the calendar!” “Oh that date!” “Yes!”
The professor glanced over at the young man who had entered the lab not long after the children. He’d assumed that he was with them but because he hadn’t left when they had, it could only mean that he was here for the parcel. “Come in here, Willow.” He ordered. “Coming!”
She entered the main room in a flurry of white lab coat and conflicting black combat boots. “Yes professor?” She asked, flicking her brown bangs impatiently out of his eyes.
“I believe this is the one coming for the package,” he explained, having not bothered to speak with the blond himself. (No, that would have been to easy. >> <<)
Willow looked over at the well dressed male, “Hello,” she greeted him, before turning back to the Professor. “Where is this package then?” she asked, shoving her hands into the pockets of the lab coat.
“Back room, left wall” he instructed her, “labeled, ‘To Elm’”
Willow nodded in understanding and motioned for the blond to follow her into the back, “Com’om” she prompted him, striding back through the door she’d so recently excited.

Hm. This place was just as busy and just as white and shiny and boring as the Lab back in Johto. Oh well. The lab assistants were busy scurrying around, and whatnot, doing all their little experiments and such. That would be just super boring.
The girl that had been looking at the slides and had been quizically looking at the calendar had been called over by the Prof. and was told to get the package. "Hello." she had said. Hm. She seemed nice enough, and he needed to get this stupid package anyway, so he followed her into the back room where the package was supposed to be.
... But somehow, it didn't feel right as he walked behind the girl. All of a sudden, there was a metallic jingle, and a sharp red beam hit the floor. '... Dammit.' Where the beam touched the tile floor stood a large deer or elk-like Pokemon. He glared at the blond before proceeding to destroy anything glass, breakable or important in any way.
The man just looked after his Pokemon and the destruction in its wake. "Heh."

Willow didn’t look back too see if the man was following her. After such a long time with blindly obedient aids, she’d just assumed he would. “Back Room, left wall…” she murmured to herself as they made there way through the door. The woman’s hand twitched towards her hip where, when she was younger, her Pokeballs had been. Her fingers brushed against nothing but cloth however and with a low curse she spun around.
Surprised she repeated the curse again, louder. Then inquired in a acidic tone, “what does your Pokemon think it’s doing?”
She was of course referring to the large deer like creature that was now rampaging about the lab. Knocking down, and often breaking, //months// worth her and the other’s studies. With not a second thought, she squatted and lunged at the Stantler. Fastening her hands in a viselike grip on it’s oddly shaped horns. “SETTLE DOWN!” she roared at a volume the soft-spoken scientist didn’t often use. With strength one would not expect from so petite a woman she swung her legs up and over the Stantler’s back, riding as one would a Rapidash.
Willow scowled fiercely, once she stopped this crazy deer from destroying everything she’d worked for in the past years. She’d be sure to have a word with the trainer who owned it.

As soon as the girl swung itself onto the Stantler's back, the Pokemon's eyes narrowed. After thoroughly shaking its back to try to rid itself of the pest, he spied a rack of particularly delicate glass test tubes...
"Stant. Stantler."
Although the test tubes would've been just as effective and just as painful, the deer-like Pokemon opted for the solid desk and brick wall nearby. Dashing as quickly as he could, the Pokemon jumped towards its target head-on, but turned so that its back, and the human on it, would be the place of impact.
The blond just stood across the room, watching the lab assistant try to manhandle the Stantler. Again, he simply said, "Heh." Within a moment, a second red beam shot onto the floor near his foot. In its place stood an oddly-colored Chikorita, chirping happily.
"Chika! Chika! Chikoriiiita~!"
The little Pokemon, in it's 'blind' cheeriness, sent a Razor Leaf attack at the obviously upset Stantler. This was before the man had even noticed the Grass-type was there. Stantler whipped around to find the source of the attack, focusing on the Chikorita. "...Dammit!" The man reacted quickly by throwing a Pokeball from his belt, Typhlosion appearing.
"Bakufun, Flamethrower." The man said calmly. The fiery Pokemon before him nodded, and a stream of fire erupted from its mouth. Stantler bowed its head to try and protect itself from the attack, but that only left the Lab Assistant on its back in the line of fire.

Willow was momentarily distracted from the pain of being thrown brutally into a wall, by the enthusiastic chirping of the Blonde’s Chickorita. The blonde’s //shiny// Chickorita. Her eyes widened as she shoved Stantler off her, having been laying under the deer-like creature’s body for the last few seconds, trying to catch her breath.
“Is that-” she murmured looking at the small grass-type and never got to finish the question. Before she could comprehend it, a Typhlosion appeared and used Flamethrower on the poor little shiny. “Hey!” she yelped when the Typhlosion’s flames singed the edge of her lab coat, cursing still louder (with a fluency she’d learned from working with the sailors in her child years.) when the flames reached the back of the room. This being the place where all of the paper files were stored, yet to be converted to computer format.
“Oh crap…” she mumbled before turning swiftly to the trainer responsible, “DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!” She roared, pointing frantically at the Pokemon wreaking havoc in her lab.
“This has years worth of my work stored in it!” she stated in a broken voice when the first of the large cardboard boxes caught fire, more to herself then anyone else. “Years…lost.”

It took a moment before the deer Pokemon realized that the human was off his back. He stood there for a minute, absent-mindedly watching the lab assistant on the floor. The blonde tossed the pokeball it was kept in, the capsule hitting Stantler's back before the Pokemon was there no more. The same happened with the Fire-type, who had accidentally set the lab on fire.
The quickest way, or so the man thought, to pt out the flames was water. With one simple toss of another pokeball, a lage, blue aligator-like Pokemon stood in the lab. The human began to issue an order, "Odariu-" but the Feraligatr acted on his own, Hydro Pumping the flames out of existance.

Willow’s heart constricted painfully even when he put the Pokemon away. “That’s good,” she was about to mummer, moving towards the burned boxes, hoping that none of the papers inside were to damaged.
Before she had a chance to even speak however, the large blue reptilian Pokemon was sent out of it’s Pokeball and proceeded to use Hydropump on everything, including the burn-free papers and Willow herself. “Dammit,” she muttered, all her anger spent for the day. (She didn’t have much to begin with) “Now what do we do…”
They stood there for several seconds in silence, save for the roar of Feraligator’s hydro pump as he continued to blast all of Willow’s research with high powered water. “WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THIS?” The tenor voice of Professor Oak bellowed at them through the doorway causing Willow to jump. Crap.
“W-we uh…Professor we…” Willow trailed off, for in fact she really didn’t have a clue how to explain herself. The reason being she didn’t really remember what had happened in the last few minutes, everything had been a painful blur.
“Get out,” He ordered flatly, looking at both Willow and the newcomer “take what is yours and get.”
Willow winced, but nodded nonetheless, the punishment would have been worse if she’d argued. “Yes professor…”
With that, she motioned forlornly to the blonde, but not before retrieving the package that had caused this whole fiasco and handing it to him. “C’mon” she ordered him dully, making her way to another part of the lab.
Not really thinking about it, she pointed to the small bed and offered him a place to sit. Then she pulled down her old backpack from one of the shelves and proceeded to stuff it with anything and everything she would need into it. After making several trips to the small bathroom off to the side of the room for toiletries and to change into more rugged clothes (Black and red “Rocke’mon” t-shirt, plaid skinny pants complete with chains and the old scuffed up combat boots from earlier.) and packed the bag with everything she would need for several days she took one last look around the small room that had been hers for several years and gestured for the blond to follow. Making her way back to the main room.

That must suck.'
Forunately for him, the package was unharmed, and so was the assistant, although the same couldn't be said about the documents. He took the package from her and headed straight outside without waiting. The oddly colorred grass Pokemon folowing him curiously.
"We're wating here." He had told her, with a happy chirp as a reply. The little Pokemon began to wander about, but she didn't stray too far from her Trainer. It wasn't too much longer before the man thought he saw the assiastant exit the building.

On her way out, Willow retrieved six Pokeballs from a small containment chamber located by the door. Fastening the small red and white orbs to her hip, the forlorn woman took one last look around the lab before readjusting the strap on her back and turning the door knob and exiting what had been and no longer was; her home.
She stood there for a moment, squinting off into the distance as her indoor acclimated eyes adjusted to the light.
//Him.//
The young man from earlier was standing several yards away, the oddly colored grass type wandering around near him. Willow //growled// and with not even a word she ran up to the one responsible for her loss of job and home and slugged him squarely in the jaw. “Douchebag” she muttered.

He froze for that one moment, intending not to retaliate and get her more upset. Hs plan was folied, however, by the Chikorita. "Chiko! Chikorita!" She scolded, bumping her head against the woman's leg. "Chiko! Chiko Chiko Chikorita!" The man just crossed his arms, watching the little grass type.
It took a moment for the Chikorita to stop, ealizing that head head hurt. "Chiko. Chikorita?" She chirped in apology.

Willow jerked back in surprise when the little Chickorita bumped its head against her leg. “Whaaa?” she murmured, noticing once again the little grass-type’s odd coloration. Squatting, her anger momentarily forgotten she stared openly at it. Something that would have unnerved most people and Pokemon alike. “are you…shiny?” she whispered in awe, using the “street” terminology for Pokemon with strangely colored skin/fur/scales ect.
Then, looking up at the blonde she winced. She’d just punched him, something extremely out of the ordinary for one who was normally something of a pacifist. Standing she held out a small, well manicured hand in greeting. “I’m Willow,” she introduced herself, her tone holding the apology that her pride would not allow her voice to carry. “What’s your name?”

"Yeah. She's a shiny." The blonde said, watching the little Grass-type now rub against the girl affectionately. "And she seems to like you." The Chikorita chirped happily, bouncing around like an excited Growlithe. The girl then offered her hand to shake, calling herself 'Willow'. Hm. He took her hand and shook it, saying "Zander. Nice to meet you."
Zander stood there for a moment, before he said, "We should get moving, right? I'd really like to see Kanto before heading back to Johto." Maybe he'd get a chance to travel Kanto and try to accomplish the second reason he had come here, besides picking up Elm's package. Otherwise, it'd be a very boring trip back to Johto.
The sun was beginning to go down now, and the sky turned a vibrant orange/yellow/pink/purple color. The trees were just black silhouettes against the falling sun.

“Wow” Willow murmured before getting back to her feet and giving the Chikorita a last affectionate pat, “I’ve never met a shiny in real life before…I’ve studied them but…” she grinned, perhaps it’d be good to get out and travel a bit, “Wow.”
"We should get moving, right? I'd really like to see Kanto before heading back to Johto."
Willow nodded, taking it for granted that “we” meant her as well. After all, the man had lost her, her job. He might as well allow her to accompany him on his travels; perhaps even serve as a guide of sorts. Having traveled Kanto in its entirety, she knew the region well. Besides, in Willow’s eyes, Zared owed it to her. “Nice to meet you, Zander.” She said after a moment, no longer looking at the trainer but at the sun that was quickly setting behind the trees.
“We won’t make Viridian by nightfall.” She said softly, not particularly worried about it. “But we might as well get moving, right?”

"I bet it won't be bad. It's probably just like the Ilex Forest. Harmless." Zander said, looking down for a moment at his Chirkorita, "And yeah, we better get going." He turned and began to walk towards the forest, Chikorita follwing.
It took about 10 minutes before they were standing in front of the enterance to the forest. It was even darker now, the sky almost a milky black. Zander pulled out the Chikrita's Pokeball, reaclling the small grass-type. "We may as well get as far as we can, right?"
