ON THE SIXTH DAY OF HALLOWEEN...
Welcome to the HALLOWEEN HAIKU CHALLENGE! 8D
The challenge for this day will be to write a haiku! Your topic is Halloween. Get as creative as you feel is appropriate, and feel free to format your haiku to make it more appealing for the judges to read. 8D
If you don't know what a haiku is, I'll tell you. A haiku is a short poem. The structure actually can vary a lot, but for the sake of simplicity, I'm going to ask you to do it my way. Your haiku will be a three-line poem with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second line, and five syllables in the final line. Once again, make sure that your haiku is halloween related.
If you're still not sure what a haiku is, I find Wikipedia and Dictionary.com to be helpful sources.
Here's a haiku example:
My hair was purple Everyone liked it a lot My name is Spotty
There's no rhyming necessary, and again, haikus can vary in structure, but we're only going to look for the basic 5-7-5 structure for this challenge.
"Men have called me mad; but the question is not yet settled, whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence -- whether much that is glorious -- whether all that is profound -- does not spring from disease of thought -- from moods of mind exalted at the expense of the general intellect." Edgar Allen Poe
Blinded by his haze of moonlit chaos, my heart ruptures under the wizard's curse.

Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy, it is the wine of a new procreation, and I am Bacchus who presses out this glorious wine for men and makes them drunk with the spirit.
