The perfect entrance.---
She had zero interest in a "celebreality" show. No good ever came from the antics featured on various celebrity reality television shows in the past, and she could really do without any additional bad publicity right now (Uh, hello, she'd just been spotted out with the co-star of her new film and her Nascar driving -now ex- boyfriend wasn't supposed to have found out.).

But, her agent had insisted, promising that the money would be worth her while -- she had enough money to live happily ever after at least five times -- and when she found out Daphne Paige had agreed to the offer, Elias Lee following her lead, the dark haired, olive skinned starlet was finally swayed. Get paid to shoot a six month party with her best friend? Sign her up. Nevermind the fine print that mentioned the possibility of manual labor...

Selecting a charity had been a rather irritating process. Resourceful as always, her agent had made the suggestion to represent the group that had been so furious with her for the fur wrap she had sported last December. How was she supposed to know that mink was some sort of endangered species?

But who was this girl? The thin, lacking in most curves, girl couldn't be older than eighteen; though she was tall...adding to the fact of her red pumps. Straightening the lowering neckline of her hot red designer mini dress, Sabryna Lane Spence was better than any royalty. A native of Queens, both parents impossibly successful hotel tycoons, she might as well have been royalty. Grandfather was a retired actor from the "golden days" of black and white movies, securing her own ticket to the acting limelight. At seven she had played the role of a modern day child super hero, some sort of human interest film that had earned her own Academy Award, a damn Oscar at seven years old. Needless to say, this life, so long as her pretty face remained in tact, this party --known as her glamorous life-- would not be ending soon.

As directed, Sabryna, along with the other celebrities that would make up the cast of the show, waited outside the "Hardly Working" mansion to begin the first shot. So creatively named "The Arrival". She smoothed her hand over the front of her Gucci jacket and skirt, glancing down at her expensive luggage. Why they wanted to pretend to carry in their belongings to be filmed, she hadn't a single idea. Like hell she was going to carry these bags to her room, that was what her body guard was for, if they were so foolish as to not have hired help for this show.

She was toying with her phone out of irritation, not particularly looking forward to the moment in which they were forced to pitch the electronics in that trash can before them. Phone calls would be privilleges earned throughout the various challenge. To be featured in Verizon's next coverage commercial, she'd been promised a better phone anyway, so...she attempted to comfort herself with that fact.

"When do we start drinking?" The question was posed to anyone in general, but she glanced towards Elias Lee in particular, lips twitching in mild amusement.

Call me "Sab" and die.---
"My name is Sabryna Lane Spence, but it's likely you'll hear my BFF Daph refer to me as "Sab". I just recently starred with Beau McKnight in the film The Perfect Crime. To be honest, I never saw myself joining one of these shows, but when the producers approached me, how could I refuse an opportunity -- and for such a good cause? I will be completing and winning (-winks-) challenges for my favorite organization Masses for the Proper Conduct of Creatures (MPCC). "

"Is there anything else you want me to say?"

"I can't wait for the challenges to begin, though I'd rather the drama was kept at bay for now."

"Oh, you want some cheesy closing line?"

"'Let the games begin, bitches.'?"
"...you have to be kidding me..."

-prefers to do this her own way-

"Watch your backs, beware my smiles, this is about to get personal, pets."

((Anything said in bold is Elias speaking directly to the camera in confessional. Imagine my posts as though the show is being aired and they're editing in clips of Elias' confessional thingies. :3))

It hadn't taken much to get Elias to agree to the show. His celebrity girlfriend, Daphne Paige, had signed on and Elias' staff agreed that the publicity wouldn't be a bad idea -- hopefully. The money they were making was going to charity, after all; the publicity couldn't be too horrible.

"I'm so excited to be doing this. Not only will it be challenging, but all the money I'm going to win is going for a good cause. The organization I'm earning the cash for is Lending a Hand to Asia. Anything to help the homeland." He laughs.

Elias was dressed casually. He looked more-or-less like a college frat boy with somewhere nice to go. He had even gone so far as to pop the collar of his long-sleeve, black button-up shirt. The Korean-American actor had on jeans and stood there at an average height of 5'9" or so. Of course, any hardcore fan of his would know that he was 5'8 1/2", 140 pounds, and that his favorite candy was cherry-flavored Tootsie Pops.

They were lined up outside the house, waiting to be allowed inside. It was pretty tedious and had a lot more plans than he thought a reality show would have. The whole thing made him want to reconsider the idea, especially the thought that they would be subjected to jobs picked out by the malicious American audience. No doubt they'd pick the hardest and probably grossest jobs they could.

Elias looked at Sabryna.

"So we get to the house and the first thing that happens is Sabryna asking when the drinking starts. I was like, 'Damn, girl! Isn't it only lunch time?'"

"As soon as you're old enough to drink," he commented, making it known to anyone who may have been listening that Sabryna wasn't quite old enough to drink -- legally. He chuckled.

To those who had feverishly haunted the cast list for the upcoming reality show, it was no surprise when a slick black sports car pulled up outside the mansion, a man in the passenger seat whose cheek the driver pecked after she’d brought the vehicle to a stop. The female’s windswept, blown-out strands of hair were deliberately sprayed in place, softening her face slightly and adding energy to her restless expression. Blue eyes made bright by smokey eyeshadow and careful cosmetics, she didn’t decline help with getting her bags out of the trunk, joking that it was the last time she’d have someone else haul them around for a while.

“Hey guys!” Her trademark smile in place, the brunette’s face was a dazzling display of innocent appeal and sly nuances. Tousled brown hair mussed over her head in an immaculately chaotic fashion, Daphne Medelia Paige was Hollywood’s leading ‘It’ girl and one of the most talked-about participants in Hardly Working’s premier season. “You guys might know me – Daphne Paige here, representing for Chicago! It’s been a while since I’ve really had to work my nails into something; Hollywood’s really far away from Illinois, you know? This – reality TV, especially with what they’re having us do – it’s like a kickback to my childhood, before I had my father to help me out.”

She darted for a moment, delighted with every face she saw there and seemed able to greet them all by name. The cast members seemed engraved in her memory as individuals she had targeted to charm, and the other celebrities – most hardly matching her rank in the world of fame – catalogued neatly in her brain in order of most recent public appearance, latest affair, and target audience. Daphne herself should’ve been known by all of them and presented each of the other competitors with her trademark sincerity and fluttering eyelashes and seemed, for the most part, an entirely innocent young girl without a wicked thought in her mind.

That reputation, of course, she left for her delightfully scandalous friends.

She was dressed like something out of vogue, a short, artfully wrapped, metallic dress hugged her body without seeming outrageously tight, falling to her thighs in the same manner as the off-white trench she wore. A high pair of ankle-strap heels, cream and lined in black, covered in stones, made her appear taller than she was, and an elegant array of jewellery gave her the classically simple look she was known for off stage. Nevertheless, it seemed as though she’d deliberately toned down her clothes for the day, as though paying a longing farewell to her over extensive wardrobe at home. Nevertheless, if she experienced any reluctance about participating in the show, it was completely eradicated by the time she’d arrived on set; finally sending a few quick looks about her to pinpoint her favourite pair, Daphne slipped over towards them as though they’d never been away from each other.

To be honest, I needed some down time from the shows and the runways – I’m a singer-songwriter, model, and currently getting into an acting career – but I couldn’t really sit still; I’m always doing something, you know? My agent, Markson –he’s the most amazing godsend to anyone in this business, really – heard about this little reality television show starting up. I thought it was a great chance to put celebrity life aside for a moment, and do a bit of on-air work for one of my favourite organizations.”

Glancing up at Elias’s quip, she couldn’t help but burst out into a stream of silvery laughter, twirling over towards the pair as though drawn to them magnetically. “And that is why I love you guys,” she laughed, watching her feet as an uneven place in the pavement caused her suitcase to jostle and her heels to stumble slightly. Daphne herself seemed entirely unfazed by the impending chaos of their working life and grinned as she moved to give her boyfriend a quick kiss before obediently trotting towards her thin, straight-figured companion. They were comparable only in height, Daphne herself being curvaceous despite a tiny waist. Slinging an arm affably around Sabryna’s shoulders in an innocent tease, she tugged back her friend’s hair and whispered conspiratorially, eying a camera as though to tempt it: “depends on what kind of bottles you smuggled through in your purse.”

“I’m playing for ‘Free the Children’, an international organization I’ve been participating in since I was thirteen. Even though I’m already a strong advocate, I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to encourage teenagers and young adults to look them up and get involved in the many initiatives they take. It was an added bonus when my boyfriend Elias jumped in for the ride – of course, I’m totally not kidding when I say the competition is on between us – and Sab agreed to take part in the show. You have no idea how wonderful it is when you get talent on shows like these showing their fans that yes, they do care about the world, and let them know just how they can help out at home.”

Examining her carefully manicured nails with wistful apprehension, the multiplatinum artist set her mischievous gaze on her best friend and reached to turn off Sabryna’s cell. “C’mon, darling. Be a good sport. You might as well come to terms with the fact that you’re not getting another text out of that.”

“I’ll be honest, though. It’ll be a blast seeing how the others’ll cope.”

"Hmmm, well. My name is Sikander Vikantesh, and I'm fresh off of the set of Last Nights, a new English film... It's actually going to be hitting stateside too, I'm told." A grin. "Anyways, very excited to be here. I think it's an interesting take on the whole celebreality scene. Not necessarily for self-gain, and that makes it noble... in a sick sort of way." A wink.

Good lord. Such resplendence, and for what? Sikander raised an eyebrow, a slight grin on his lips. A ridiculous show, with a ridiculous premise that only gave the barest hint at trying to be decent. He pursed his lips, swinging his bag uneasily, the gravel crunching under his feet as he walked up to the front. It was this sort of half-assery the States were known for. No matter, he was going to win money for a charity. It was a good enough reason to live through whatever bullshit this show was going to put him through.

He took his place beside the others, distracted by the mansion. Honestly, wouldn't it have been better to use the money building that for charity instead...? Sikander scuffed a white trainer against the other, shifting in his modest khaki pants and tight black t-shirt. His dark curls were brushed back, slicked to stay in place; dark eyes accented by dark skin and open wide as they tried to take everything in. He didn't even know half these people (okay, he knew OF them. Kind of), nor did he care. It wasn't a competition to him, it was a chance for everyone to get their favourite charities money.

"I'm so excited to start. Can't be too hard, can it?" He smiles, eyes twinkling.

The others were talking about alcohol, he realized, zoning back into the conversation. He wasn't a drinker - drinking was never a good idea in his experience. Shrugging it off, he smiled brightly at the others, at a loss for words.

...This might be harder than originally thought. Working together had been the general idea, but somehow he could feel the general ... evil hiding behind the group.

The camera is set on an arrogantly grinning man, who seemed to dress without wanting to impress. He's tanned and toned, but both seem to attest for a healthy lifestyle, not a personal trainer and diets. His hair is messy, curly mop top, colored a dark brown and his eyes, lovely light green, are too mischievous for their own good. This man is hated and loved by millions, this is the one who says, "What's up, America? Long time, no see. Didja miss me?" He laughs and answers his own question. "I bet."

The same man is standing in front of a posh mansion, which really clashes with the theme of this show. You'd think that they'd live in a small house or something, seeing that they were trying to live without all their celebrity-oriented stuff. Most of the others have suitcases and such cluttered around them and are wearing their very best--or at least something that's designer. He, on the other hand, is wearing what he always wore; a white t-shirt, jeans, beat-up sneaks, with a backpack slung over his shoulder and a duffel-bag resting at his feet. The only thing that was different from his normal wardrobe was that his shirt had a v-neck. He was really switching it up.

He crossed his arms, looking impassively around him, though on the inside he was rather impressed and Angelo Dawson wasn't that easy to impress. He'd stayed in mansions a few times on different reality shows, but this one seemed classier than the others, which were decorated gaudily with bright clashing colors and pictures, paintings, and / or statues thrown about the place that screamed "LOOK AT ALL MY STUFF, AREN'T I RICH!?" Angelo hated that kind of stuff, preferring to live life spartan-ly. He was rich himself, not overtly so, but he was comfortable enough to have a nice house himself with all the top-notch necessities.

"This is going to be easy," Angelo confides to the camera. "Unlike most of these richies, I've lived a normal life and had a normal job. I'm used to getting my hands dirty and doing without; I've been a normal American for 4/5s of my life."

A few snatches of conversation between Sabryna and Elias float over to Angelo and his lips twitch up a tad. Underaged drinking, what a fabulous thing, something that went against his charity. He himself was forbidden to get plastered on this show even though it would make it interesting. "It'll be positive publicity AND make sure you make a good impression on all the kids in America," his agent had said to him, even though Angelo had pleaded and begged and tried to switch charities... which never happened. Angelo let out a small sigh, mourning the loss of his drinking privileges.

A snazzy car drove up, sleek, black, and absolutely reeking with A-Class Celebrity. Angelo pulled on the brim of his trucker hat, as if shielding his eyes from a terrible glare. Daphne Paige, the biggest celebrity had arrived. Angelo's olive eyes barely paused on her and her fake everything before skipping over to the hedges that lined the drive, deciding that they had more personality than she did. His stomach churned when he saw the trio gossip and giggle, pretending to be angels for the camera. Acting at it's best, Angelo thought.

"Am I intimidated by Daphne Paige and her posse?" He scoffs, "Hell no! They won't last for half a month here. I'm surprised they even signed up for this, seeing as they'll have to live like the average American and leave their chauffeurs, maids, butlers and stuff at home." He grins.

You're beautiful, every little peice, love...

"I'm Taylor Blair Andrews, but most people know me as Taylor Andrews. I just finished up my 'Beautiful' tour, and I can't wait to try this 'reality show' out. It just might be a welcome break from the road." A small laugh, settling into a smile. Light and dark shades of blonde hair fall into her face, a wave to the whisp, along with the rest, pulled loosely to the right and cascading over her shoulder.

A small sliver Ford Fusion pulled up to the side of the mansion, near where everyone was lined up to begin the filming of the cast entering the house. The passenger's side door opened, and Andrews stepped out, a pair of sunglasses over her eyes. Beneath the tinted glass, brown eyes glanced around, noting the group that had already arrived. A few she knew, specifically Paige and her... ehm... 'enotourage'. The rest? Being out on tour had seroiusly kept her away from L.A. and Hollywood, which meant she really didn't know some of the others.

"I've decided to compete for the WWF, the World Wildlife Fund." A shift of her hair from her face, "I majored in Zoology in college, and if I wasn't doing this..." A smile, trying to keep from laughing again, "I'd be working as a zoologist. It's true!" Laughter, almost like bells.

... Don'tcha know, you're really gonna be someone...

Taylor was dressed less formal than the rest of the celebrities mulling about, which usually earned her not-so-nice comments, unless, of course, it was in style. Over a white tank-top, she wore a mid-sky blue and black plaid longsleeved shirt, [ooc] Choose the 2nd blue on top to see it. :D [/ooc] along with a pair of very light blue jeans. Instead of heels, as most of the females there were wearing, Converse were comfortably situated on her feet. A yellow/grey/light blue combo which happened to be her favorite pair.

"I can't wait for this. I mean, I haven't had what people consider a 'normal' job for a little bit. A few years, since college, atleast." A momentary pause, as if she is recalling the exact amount of time.

The trunk of the hybrid popped open, and the singer retreived her one large black suitcase, setting it on the gravel before grabbing one that looked the same, but was smaller in size. Shutting the trunk, she pulled the handles of the two cases, rolling them shakily over the ground and heading towards the other celebrities. Deciding to stand a little off to the side from the rest, she rested the rolling suitcases on the gravel. Her arms lightly crossed over the front of her body, while she watched Daphne Paige and her posse greet eachother.

... Ask anyone...

"Daphne? Yeah, I've met her before. We never got really close, but I've seen her at a few different events. Talked a few times, but not much more than that..." She trails off, pushing strands of hair behind her ear. "Y'know... at the CMAs and Grammys... those kinds of places." A faint smile pulls across her features, "But it's friendly competition. No worries." A genuine smile now.

Her agent had told her that this was going to be some good publicity in promoting her CDs and tickets for her next upcoming tour in a year or so. Taylor was truly hoping that he would be right.

“I mean…. It’s a bit of a dream come true, to be honest. I watched most of these people growing up, you know? It’s still kinda weird to be involved.” He grinned. “But honestly, I’m not too worried. I’m playing for the charity my mom works for- The Ofte Association for Children with Disabilities- and I think I can hold my own with whatever jobs America comes up with. I’ve done everything from waiting tables to mucking stables so this can’t be too hard, can it?”

Zachariah Dresden was on the fast track to the top. He knew it. His producers knew it. There wasn’t a high school student in American who didn’t know his name. This past season of American Idol had been one of the most widely watched yet- mostly due to the bold singer’s widely publicized exploits. He’d been expecting an immediate ejection after his shouting match with Simon Cowel- the judge he most respected and who also seemed to know how to push his buttons in a way that had not yet been accomplished with past idol hopefuls- but that week had shown Zac’s biggest increase in votes yet. After that, as week after week the votes kept rolling in, it had been very clear who would win the next idol. In all honesty, Zac had been extremely surprised. He had never considered himself idol material. Oh sure, he harbored his dreams. To be that famous? That well know? That appreciated for his talents? It was his dream! It was more than a dream. It was his passion. But trying out for idol was supposed to just be fun, get him some experience with auditioning. He’d never really expected to make it.

And now his single had been at the top of the charts for more weeks than he was willing to count.

But being lumped in anywhere with Daphne Paige, Sabryna Spence, and Elias Lee was more intimidating than he thought was possible. He had watched one of Sabryna’s movies the first time he had ever taken a girl on a real date. He’d seen Daphne on the cover of every magazine at the cheap supermarket he had worked in for years. And his little sister’s bedroom was plastered with posters of Elias Lee. She walked around with a bag of tootsie pops in her purse on the one in a never chance that she ran into him on the street.

But intimidating or not, he had jumped at the chance to join the show. The publicity- of course- would be amazing. The money was a huge draw- he was playing for a charity he had volunteered for back before he could afford the venti coffee size at Starbucks. Not to mention the possibility of getting ‘in’ with some of America’s hottest actors- a group he hoped to join sometime in the near future. And the actual premise of the show seemed easier than he would care admit to any of these starlets- his lower middle class family lived on a small country farm and he doubted there were many jobs America could come up with that he wouldn’t be willing to try.

Now he stood outside the mansion flashing surreptitious glances to all the other celebrities. There was Sabryna Spence- just as beautiful as she was in her films. He was actually standing beside Elise Lee. No doubt Bethy would have a heart attack when he told her- she’d practically deafened him with her screams when he’d told her he’d be meeting the heart throb and she’d made him swear that if the opportunity ever presented itself, he would introduce them. Zac somehow doubted that would happen, but Bethy probably would have lost sleep if he’d said no. When Daphne Paige climbed from her car, Zac felt a little star struck. Now that was a beautiful woman.

“I’m pretty excited to meet everyone. I mean, when you watch someone on screen, you get a certain idea of how they might really be. It’ll be interesting to see how these people really act you know? I mean… I’m just a regular kinda guy, but you think, growing up with all that fame and money are they regular kinda people to?”

Without really meaning to, Zac stood a little taller- he was around six even- and let his signature boy-next-door smile settle onto his face, showing his perfect teeth- he’d had braces back in middle school.
Even if he was new to the celebrity life style, Zac certainly looked the part. He had deep green eyes, sandy blonde dread locks that were new and short and so stuck out from his head at odd angles, and sharp, defined features. His jeans were pre-idol, and so they were worn and faded and he wore an olive green Sergeant Pepper Beatles t-shirt. His black converses, at least, were new. The overall effect was one of careless attractiveness- even in his casual clothing with his seemingly unkempt hair style, he still had the air of someone who could just as easily look at home in designer slacks and silk shirts. A guitar case was slung over his shoulder and a new, nondescript black suitcase sat at his feet.

Zac didn’t say anything during the whole alcohol exchange. He was only twenty, not much a drinker, and had his own personal stash of illegal substances in his suitcase anyway- after all, he wouldn’t exactly be living up to his title of rock star without it would he?

He realized he had zoned out for a moment, but the thought of his stash brought another need to his attention, and as politely as he could, he pulled the spotlight onto himself for the first time.

“You guys don’t mind if I smoke do you?” His tone was soft, ever so polite, but he was lighting the cigarette as he said it and there was a certain arrogance to the question that made it clear that as long as they were outside, he’d smoke as many cigarettes as he wanted. He was standing on the edge of the group and he was careful to blow the smoke away from those he was standing near- no need to be more obnoxious than was necessary after all.

“I just think it’s ganna be a really cool experience overall. I can’t wait to get started.”

What a Waste.---
The girl's green-eyed gaze snapped to Elias Lee, lips pressed in distaste. What was a "drinking age"? Oh right, something the general populace adhered to. She'd been in the celebrity teen partying scene since she was fourteen years old, well before anyone of importance had heard of Elias Lee.

"Shut up," Sabryna hissed under her breath, backhanding Elias' arm in irritation.

"I was only joking."

She sent him a scowl, further emphasizing her shot to hell mood. It had been hard enough to conjure the halfhearted pleasantness she'd worn moments before, actress or no; she was not looking forward to the thought of anything difficult, disagreeable, dirty, dangerous, or...disfiguring. Which encompassed just about every challenge that her agent gently explained to her could be part of the "experience".

"So then Elias, having to be sure to make an ass of himself, ruins the entire show in one idiot remark. I was so ready to go home." Sabryna flicked her gaze to the ceiling, settling her glare from the camera to the...apparently anger-inspiring roof above.

"At least we know you apparently can handle math," she lifted an eyebrow with the retort, "Did you have to use your fingers and toes for that brilliant observation?"

Sabryna's frown wavered when Daphne made her appearance, allowing herself to be pulled into her friend's embrace. Her bitterness also seemed to fade with Daphne's conspiratorial remark. In fact, she laughed quietly, shaking her head in a rueful fashion. "It's likewise good to know I wasn't the only one with foresight."

"But Daph, like always, she can save any catastrophe."

The teenager allowed Daphne to seize her phone, putting in great pains to pretend to be relieved. She waved a dismissive hand, examining her own fingernails to drown her displeasure at having her phone banned from the premises. She reflected it didn't matter much anyway, she still hadn't heard back from her ex-boyfriend (She knew dating Nascar's newest hunk was a bad idea; he was hot, that was sure, but he overreacted too much. So long as her name was Sabryna Spence, tabloids were going to try to ruin her relationships. Duh.) and Beau had only been looking for one thing. There were other texts, dozens of them naturally, that she would have also been concerned about, but the main two... neither were replying so it was probably for the best.

At least there were no beautiful and eligible men he--

Sabryna blinked when Zachariah Dresden slithered into their group, lighting a cigarette disgustingly close for her comfort.

Sinking back into her chair, frowning. "So the next annoying thing to happen, and with only five minutes of being on set, that American Idol...Zachary..Zacahrius, whatever his name is lights up. Ew. I can't believe this isn't a smoking free show."

So far, she'd only recognized Taylor Andrews as anyone of importance -- as Daphne had been so good to the dear -- out of all the people to arrive. These...no names were doing nothing to improve her mood and so she satisfied herself with flicking glares in the direction of American Idol's latest fake celebrity. In two years, no one would recognize him. ...unless of course, she and Daph were so kind... Her lips twitched in an unnoticeable manner and she returned her attention to her best friends.

"They just let anyone sign up for this? How...charitable." Was that comment meant for anyone in particular? Well, the glance at Zacharias hadn't been particularly innocent.

Slowly but surely, everyone was showing up. And of course, Sabryna's bad mood and snide remarks were not entirely reserved for Elias. After welcoming Daphne to the group, he smirked over toward the smoking Zac.

"Sabryna's day must be off to a bad start. Did you see the look she gave to Zac as he lit up?" Elias was very amused, laughing as he spoke.

He left the situation alone, though. For now, it was more interesting to watch all the people who were on their way in. A few of the others seemed more the type to do this show than, well, Sabryna and Daphne. Even Elias wasn't too fond of manual labor, but he hadn't been spoiled for nearly as long as Sabryna had been. Of course, he'd never been a stable boy or a dishwasher, either. He'd been lucky enough to have wealthy enough parents to not have to work before his talent was discovered. So in a way, he had been spoiled, just not to such extremes.

He stepped up beside Daphne, putting himself just that much further away from the chimney known as Zac. "I wonder what it looks like inside," he said, remembering that he'd heard something about it having been built for a previous reality show. He didn't watch much reality television -- he was more of a sitcom/drama guy -- so he didn't know what had gone on in the house before. "I hope the rooms are nice."

"I am so excited about this whole thing. While my biggest reason for being here is the charity, I can't deny that I'm here to win as much as I can. You know, for my own feeling of personal accomplishment."

“People like to ask me about my critics – how is it, they always want to know, I can be happy to see someone like Angelo Dawson? The man doesn’t exactly try to hide his dislike. But you know, I used to think about celebrity like he does – I mean, I didn’t even have my daddy moneybags until after I met Will, and it was the most awkward transition of my life. I’m kind of looking around at some of these people and realizing, ‘oh. They don’t get it. They’re here, but they haven’t seen the other side of fame – the side I'm working on,’ and noticing how they kind of dismiss me as an A-lister leech. You know, though, I’m okay with that. It’s really very logical to think of me a bit contemptuously when you don't live the life I do. I don’t hold it against them.”

Flashing an inviting smile towards Sikander – she knew of him, actually, after an extensive marathon of Bollywood movies and London film screenings performed in preparation for the show – Daphne couldn’t help but laugh, drawing her fingers up to her lips as though trying to hush herself. Relieved by Sabryna’s relaxation, she reached over to cuff her boyfriend’s shoulder, unable to put her face in the appropriately stern expression she wanted and instead betraying her amusement. Tilting her head towards Sab, she murmured, very quietly, “We’re not that intimidating, are we, gorgeous?” before flicking her eyes appreciatively to her boyfriend and making a derisive sound in the back of her throat at his comments.

“I did my homework before I came down and, I have to say – I’m really impressed with Sikander’s work. Bollywood is a whole different ballpark from western acting, and you can’t help but have respect for a young actor who’s charming the big screens down east, then doubling back and performing so well in English screenplays. I – okay, I admit it. I’m experiencing a bit of a fangirl crush for this guy.” Covering her face in an adorable display of carefully-measured embarrassment, she blushed pink through her smile and peered through her fingers at the camera. Reaching over to something off-screen, she pulled a DVD cover out and held it up for the audience to see. “I used my obscene connections for evil and bought Last Nights in advance. I’m going to pour all of my charm, innocence, and… general fangirl squeals into getting him to sign it for me. Oh god, I’m terrible!”

About to rebuke him, she glimpsed Taylor at the last moment and allowed her face light up with (at least, what seemed to be) sincere joy. Reaching up to wave towards the country singer with an eager look, as though she were greeting a friend she hadn’t seen for a long time, Daphne called her name as though making an invitation. Nevertheless, the affectionate reprimand that next slipped from her lips was addressed to Elias, mockingly serious in tone: “Babe, don’t be an ass on the first episode. Let them get used to you before you shove that charm of yours down their throats, okay?”

”Taylor’s always had this amazing talent, but none of the right people were paying attention. Well, their loss. I remember coming across this girl and calling up Markson straight away; something like ‘okay, I love you, but she needs you more’.” A helpless giggle, reflecting on her absolutely fantastic mood. “Well, thankfully, I didn’t have to part with my beloved agent and he found her someone just as – sorry, Markson, I mean almost – as brilliant as he was. I wish we both weren’t such workaholics – Taylor’s an incredible person and it’s such an honor to be with her – because I would’ve definitely wanted a stronger friendship with her if only we had the time to really become friends, you know?”

She hadn’t even noticed Zachariah Dresden until he pulled out her cigarette and, unlike Sabryna and Elias, her attention was immediately attracted to him as though he were a new and interesting species of individual she’d never before seen. As soon as she recognized him, however – or, perhaps, she had purposely delayed her expression to make it look like she wasn’t media stalking her cast mates – she couldn’t help but slip out from between her compatriots and offer her hand.

“Zachariah, right?” Another mischievous smile, as though trying to make up for the snide looks her close friends had thrown his way. “God! You seem so different in person, I almost didn’t recognize you – I feel like such an idiot for not introducing myself before. I’m Daphne – Daphne Paige. I’m pretty much an obsessive listener of your tracks -” For the passed week, at least. She was sure there wasn’t a single one she’d missed memorizing for the sake of competitive pleasantries. “-and, well, shit, you really are the artist of the year, aren’t you?” This, coming from the best-selling artist of the day, was one hell of a compliment.

”This is terrible to say, but – oh god – as soon as I was in the danger zone of that smoke, I imagined Markson having… someone… jump out of a bush or something and beating poor Zach to death with a suitcase.” Amused at this idea, she continued with her explanation. “My staff is very – maybe a little over? - protective. I mean, my mother was a heavy smoker – it killed her, which was pretty harsh, but I learned to cope – so it’s not like I’m not used to cigarette smoke or something. I know I should probably view smoking pretty harshly – I mean, I don’t advocate taking it up or anything – but I guess childhood exposure made me unfortunately fearless towards it.

Glancing back to Sabryna and Elias, neatly assessing the clique lines and playing ambassador between them, she couldn’t help but look wickedly delighted by their words. “Have you guys done your homework about this place? Ah – never mind. It’s, uhm, beautifully built...”

((El apologizes if she has posted out of turn. Please delete this if we ARE going by a posting order. :>))

Zac turned his head away from the group and released a cloud of smoke. One sandy blonde brow jumped skyward and he gave Sabryna Spence a once over. With her comments to Elias and her thinly veiled insults to his own celeb status, it was easy for Zac to summarize the beauty queen in one word- bitch. And if there was one thing Zac hated, it was bitchiness- or duochebaggery- for the sole sack of bitchiness and douchebaggery.“Well that would fit with the premise of the show. Or didn’t you realize you’d be playing for a charity?” His voice was smooth and cold- the epitome of a smart ass. He’d be damned if let these little starlets push him around. “Funny. My agent explained what I was signing up for before I put my name down. I can get you his card if you want. He’s a busy man but I’m sure he could make room for you.”

“Sabryna Spence? Pretty girl. Great actress. Complete bitch.”

As he spoke, Zac let his eyes flick to the faces who hadn’t spoken yet- Taylor Andrews was very popular in his town. He knew her music through sheer osmosis of small town culture. The man, Angelo, was recognizable only from the covers of various magazines- Zac was pretty sure he was the star of several reality TV shows, but he hadn’t watched any of them. The others he had never really heard of before this show. But then again, he hadn’t exactly been obsessed with pop culture before Idol so that wasn’t really saying anything about the other’s varying levels of fame.

Zac ignored the little flip flop his stomach did when Daphne introduced herself. He’d gotten used to that little reaction over the passed few months. It was just so strange meeting these people. If Sabryna hadn’t hit the wrong button, his reaction probably would have been similar when he spoke to her.

“Yeah, Zac’s fine.” He said transferring the cigarette to his left hand and shaking Daphne’s with his right. He offered her a genuine smile. “Thank you. I mean,.. I’m a big fan of your work as well so coming from you that’s… thanks.”

“It hits me sometimes, you know? I mean… I’m not Eva’s and Joe’s son who can sing so well anymore. I’m- at least to some extent- I’m known. But I mean this still all feels really new to me so for Daphne to be so… so welcoming, I guess, it was really appreciated. I feel like sometimes Hollywood can get this… this old money new money kinda thing going on. To be acknowledged by a fellow artists- especially by someone I so admire as an artist herself- It just means a lot. And she seems like genuinely nice person.”

He took another dag on the ciggarette, desperately trying to ignore the mantra that had taken refuge in his head. Daphne Paige recognized me. Daphne Paige knew my name. Daphne Paige knows my music. I have music now. And people know it. People like Daphne Paige American Idol had taken a simple small town farm boy and given him access to his wildest dreams. Zac dealt with it fairly well- with coolness and ease, but every once in a while the realization that he had very recently reached his life’s ambition- and he was only twenty years old!- came crashing down around him in waves of pleasure, awe, and even, to some extent, intimidation. What if I can’t do it? What if it turns out to not be what I thought?

Almost obediently, Zac turned his face toward the house. He had a feeling his old bedroom would fit inside one of that thing’s closets. He had a feeling his old house would fit inside one of that thing’s closets. Perhaps spurred by his Daphne- induced unease, a sudden childish fear of getting lost on the way to the bathroom filled his chest. He squashed it quickly. This would, foremost, be fun.

She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts…

“Hm… I can’t really say that I’m close with any of these people.” She looks to the side and down, as if glancing at something on the floor, then looks back up. “But then again, most people in Hollywood over-exaggerate things. I dunno what it is.” She gives a nervous, weak laugh.

Glancing over, she saw Daphne wave, and then call her name. Although reluctant to join Paige’s tight-knit little group, she gave an acknowledging smile, and a small nod. Hopefully the Queen Bee wouldn’t take her very… quiet… hello as an insult because she had politely declined to join the Three Musketeers as they plotted the demise of everyone else. Andrews looked down at her bags for a moment, then scanning the faces of the others.

She didn’t watch much TV, especially reality television. Of course, that didn’t mean that she had no idea what was going on, but she knew only the basics. Angelo Dawson… a name that she had heard mentioned, but she had never paid much attention to his shows, although the tour crew talking about them was a slight plus. And Sikander Vikantesh… she had seen some of his movies before, late-night boredom on the tour bus, and Taylor really enjoyed most of his movies that she watched. The only one she had paid attention to, however, was the Idol star, Zachariah Dresden. Not because of some fan girl-y stuff, but because she had somehow gotten drawn into the show, maybe because she had been considered to be the ‘Celebrity Judge’ for a week, but it had never happened.

…She’s cheer captain, and I’m on the bleachers…

“The one thing that I’m going to miss by being here? The piano, of course.” She laughs, and then stops herself. “But I truly mean it. I don’t know how I could survive without it…” Another laugh, as if she is slightly embarrassed, into a smile.

Hm. It seemed as if the little groups were forming already. Her arms were still crossed over torso. Daphne, along with her boyfriend and Sabryna in the ‘I’m-The-Most-Famous-So-HA!’ group, with Zac and Angelo together in the ‘I’m-A-Famous-Badass-So-I’m-Going-To-Do-Whatever-The-Hell-I-Want-To’ category. She had yet to figure out where she and Sikander would go in this… too-much-like-highschool hierarchy.

…She wears high heels, I wear sneakers…

With her left hand still clinging to her right arm, her right hand came to rest on the handle of her suitcase, and she turned towards the mansion. … Wasn’t thins kind if hypocritical? They were supposed to be getting the celebrities away from their lives as famous people and putting them to work instead of living their ‘normal’ lives and truly working only for a few hours. Not only that, but shouldn’t it be less… extravagant? They were playing for charities, not a million dollars and a new car. Taylor sighed, shaking her head slightly and looking to the ground.

Being a male model was much more difficult than that of the female counter-part. If a girl looked somewhat-pretty, was tall enough, and was stick thin, they were "in". Males, however, had specifics they had to follow. They had a much harder harder time booking and even less fame throughout their careers. Withou any of this knowledge, Ethan Loza strutted his way into his fashion career, completely blind-folded. It had been a spur decision he hadn't even realized was even an option.

It started with a young woman who had came up to him in the mall on one of his mid-week shopping sprees. "You're eyes," was all she managed at first. Ethan wasn't sure if he should move away slowly, or turn tail; fortunately, he stayed put. When she came to her senses, after looking him up and down, she explained who she was and asked the tall male if he would be interested in a few catalog shoots. Without thought or asking about what type of catalog, Ethan agreed. A few weeks later, he got a copy of the catalog and with that in hand, he decided modeling was what he was going to pursue.

With that little gift, Ethan was soon scouted out -- of course after a few more catalogs and small photoshoots -- by an agent who wanted to book him for a runway show. It took a few days to get a walk down, but it seemed the chestnut haired male had a knack for a talent he'd never realized.

"I knew I was gorgeous, more so than most males, but I'd never have guessed I'd been where I am now," he glances to the side for a moment.

Though, the only thing new to the lifestyle Ethan was living, was the fame. His family had been rich, those before them had been wealthy, it seemed their heritage had come from a long line of money-loving, upper-class, folk. Ethan grew up in West Chester and never had to work for anything he'd ever gotten. His parents paid for it all. If one asked any person in West Chester who the single most spoiled child was, they'd more than likely pause for a split second, then smile and say, "That Loza boy." There was no denying it.

After his career started, Ethan began to book much more than any model of his time, starting out slowly with American Eagle and smaller brands and then working his way up to Ralph Lauren, Jason Wu, and even bigger fashion designers. His latest shoot was with Abercrombie and Fitch, where any muscle-obsessed, teenage girl could run in and stare at his half-naked body plastered to the wall. If they had money, they could take him home on a shopping bag. The thought always made Ethan smile.

"I'm a little nervous," he places a hand on his face, "I've never worked before, ever. I mean, I guess photo shoots are hard work, but not like, poor-people jobs."

The morning the filming of the show was set to begin, Ethan began his day late. He wasn't going to just throw up his arms and rush off to this television show. Yes, playing for charity would be good for bookings and all the other things his agent crammed down his throat at last minute. When the small man came barreling through his door, Ethan could not figure out why the man was so anxious and, in his opinion, quite obnoxious at the moment. The world, as far as he had known, slowed for him; never the opposite.

After taking an hour to pack and decide what he had to leave behind, which was tragic for him, he managed to only pack four suitcases. The drive to the filming site seemed to drag on, as Ethan made every last moment count with his cellphone. As he got out of the car, when it pulled up, he kissed the thing good-bye and handed it to his agent.

"Oooh! I can't bear to be without my phone. That thing is my life. I've had once since I can even remember!" He winces. "I can't wait to get it back," he rubs his hands together in a seemingly-maniacal way.

With a rush to the scene, his agent carrying all of his luggage, Ethan made sure to make his presence known. "Sorry I'm late, everyone, I hope I didn't stall the show or anything. Can you believe this? Real people jobs? Ugh," he groaned, tossing back his black and white checkered scarf. His jacket was black over a white shirt with a logo somewhere. His jeans were the newest design that no one had yet, courtesy of his latest runway. Ethan had to look fashionable, afterall, he set the fashion for everyone out there.

"I doubt the others will like me at first, my family has more money than all of them combined." He chuckles for a moment. "Not that it's much of anything, money may be everything to me, but," he trails of and never finishes the sentence. "Whatever happens I'm here to win for my charity, which is," he pauses for a long second, "oh, yes," he regains himself, his smooth voice starts again, "helping people fight eating disorders." His ocean blue and green eyes stare at the camera, the light making them even brighter. The camera man mutters something uncomprehensible. "What? Oh, my eyes," he laughes, "they're what got me discovered."

((Sorry this took me so long, my boyfriend is on late shifts and I've not been getting up in time, sighs! Here goes everything though.))

There was fashionably late and then there was ridiculous, and that was the thing with Miriam Porter, she didn't care at all if her arrival was ridiculous. In fact, there wasn't much she did care about, save for the reason she was here. Her curved body stepped out of the limousine she had arrived in and she paused as she slung her designer handbag over one arm. She laughed softly and shook her head as her highly glossed lips curled into a wicked smile and she looked a the camera.

"My father asked me to do this show, to give me a taste of what working really is- as if I didn't know. I'm here to win the money for Real Bodies, since I have to have a cause - they're the best ones I know. I imagine these few weeks are going to be pretty lame, but as much as anything I want to get some good publicity." She stopped and grinned cheekily, before lifting a hand in a secretive manner over her lips. "Don't tell anyone, but I'm hoping to get a role in a movie thanks to this thing I'm doing. I've seen the people who I'm supposed to be working with around the place, but I can't say I know any of them particularly well, I guess I'm just going to have to win their hearts. Not that that will be hard." Another soft, happy laugh.

A stiletto heel that could easily stab through someone's chest clicked as she began the ascent toward the mansion where she would be living, waving to her driver (whom was carrying a rather large armful of baggage) and moving toward the groups that were seeming to form already. Oh, she'd missed initiation morning already? How sad. Black hair (this week) was tossed absently over her shoulder, the soft curls bouncing as deceitfully warm brown eyes examined those around her. She knew she was top shit, she didn't have to tell herself so.

"I didn't realize everyone would be getting here so early," Mimi laughed as she put her handbag down beside her perfectly pedicured feet, the diamond-studded stilettos glistening in the light of the morning, "Gosh- Oh well." Apparently, the heiress was nonchalant about the whole thing. Her father owned the worlds most successful restaurant chain, she was worth billions in her own right, wanted for mall openings and as a spokeswoman for body image. After all, it did pay to be famous - even if it wasn't for the right reasons.

She glanced over at Daphne Paige and Sabryna Spence, and smiling mischievously toward them. "So, do we have to wait for anyone else?" Of course, she herself was the most important arrival. "Or can we go into this place?" She looked over towards Ethan, Angelo, Taylor and Zac. "Because, you know, standing on stairs seems a little bit lame, yeah?" Her accent wasn't recognizable, it was a mix of a hundred, all mashed up into some young, prissy girl's voice as she sighed and breathed out. "We look liked stunned rabbits or whatever, just standing about."

Giving a flirtatious, feminine smile towards all, she grinned at Zac in particular. "You won Idol this year, yeah? Well done, I heard Simon really had it in for you." That's right, use what you know to your advantage. "But obviously you made it, that's what, a couple months on the top of the charts, you know that rocks." And airy laugh spilled from her throat and she turned towards Sabryna, quick to recognize that whom had to be the second most important person here.

"Oh, Sabryna, your last few movies were just divine, I don't know how you manage to work so hard and still look so great." She grinned, "Not to mention party so well - weren't you at Leo's get-together a few months ago?" Her eyes twinkled as she turned her gaze next to Sikander, "Oh wow, I love your films - haven't you done like forty or so films? At your young age, that's amazing!" She bubbled.

Now for Daphne, Elias and Taylor.. "Oh wow, Daphne and Elias! The absolute hottest couple around. I hope I find someone who looks as good with me as you two do." She laughed and winked. "You guys will have beautiful beautiful babies." Mimi was on a roll and dayam, did she know it or what. Tabloids that were good were the ones to use, and she certainly knew that. Also, people loved compliments - that was something she knew from personal experience working for Real Bodies.

She turned to Taylor now, "Oh, and you're Taylor Andrews yeah? Your music is so beautiful, do you write it all yourself? I saw one of the shows on your Beautiful tour, you've got a great stage presence too!"

It was then that the heiress focused on Ethan and she blinked. Then she saw his eyes and nodded. "Ah yes, Ethan, you're that model aren't you? I thought you had a shoot sometime when this was being filmed, or did I hear wrong?"

"You know, I found it easier than I thought I would to say nice things about these people, but then, I guess it's not hard to be nice.. I just hope my smooth talking will worm my way into their hearts - especially actress ones, I could use some good words in Hollywood.. Plus this way I can prove that I'm a great actress- also, they might even give me a hand with this working business, I'm good with numbers, that's the main thing to remember when I take over daddy's business."
