A young teenage girl stood waiting outside at the front of the school, her arms hanging limply at her sides and her eyes fixed firmly straight ahead on the building. It was one of those perfect summer days, with the sun shining high in the sky, the sky itself clear and light blue, and with a pleasingly cool breeze in the air. Indeed, it was a perfect summer day.

Slowly, she raised one wrist and looked down, checking the time. She did so love modern wristwatches - they were far more convenient than the great, big pocket watches with their chains and covers that could get stuck at any time. Wristwatches were just so... cute. Whoever invented them was a genius.

Hmm... One more minute until the bell rang. Good.

She appeared to be about fourteen or fifteen, and was a rather dainty and petite little thing, measuring at only five feet in height. She'd been waiting outside for school to end and the kids to come out for the past fifteen minutes, but had been in town for at least three days already, all by herself. A lone teenager all by herself, without family, friends or any sort of relatives isn't that strange. But when such teenagers had bright purple hair and plum purple eyes.

Callonesta - for that was her name - had kept mostly to herself these past three days, reducing contact with humans to an absolute minimum. Even so, when she did move around on the streets, it wasn't too difficult to notice that long straight dark purple hair of hers, all the way down to her waist, or the unusual eyes. Not to mention the outfit she was currently wearing, despite the summery weather - it was more like some strange sort of party dress than anything else. She wore a long black sleeveless dress, with a white long-sleeved dress underneath, with frills trimming the sleeve cuffs, and the skirt itself consisting entirely of frills. A plum purple ribbon was tied into a bow around her throat, and she wore white wool tights and black shoes.

Those people who had caught a glimpse of her had just assumed it was a rather outrageous hair dye job and colour contacts and that she was off to a party or some sort of special occasion. Hah, if only they knew...

For Callonesta wasn't a human, or a teenager, for that matter. She was a witch, and in this particular case, the Witch of Space and Time. Even among witches and warlocks she was unique and mysterious, one of the greatest enigmas of the witching worlds. Yes, worlds, for there were many worlds, many different dimensions in the universe - not just Earth. There were so many worlds, hundreds of thousands, millions, billions... It was too much for a person to comprehend.

Details about where she'd come from, who she was, what she was, when she came into being... they were all unknown, except to a select few. She would spend her time, travelling from one world to the next, always leaving her mark there.

Among all the different worlds, you could find alternate worlds, parallel worlds, and in these worlds, there were alternate people, people of different worlds but yet, who were the same people. Everyone had parallel version of themselves, and yet, there was only one Callonesta, one Witch of Space and Time.

What her exact motives were behind all that mystery and behind her actions was unknown, too, to all but herself, this mysterious witch. But whatever she did, however puzzling or perplexing, it was always with a reason, you could count on that. And today, on Earth, Callonesta had arrived, and she'd arrived with a purpose. She would find that person, that destined person today, and she would reveal to them their destiny.

And at that moment, the bell rang.

(Here's Callonesta)

Her well manicured fingernails lightly tapped on the desk, her brown sugar colored eyes looking at the clock on the wall over and over. In her mind all she could hear was the tapping of her fingers and the ticking of the clock. They only had a few minutes left until the bell rang but it seemed like an eternity. How she hated summer school. If only she had tried harder in the year she wouldn't be stuck in the same room with the losers, the slackers and the people that were actually trying to get ahead. It wasn't her fault that she actually had a life. Briella was the epitome of the popular teenage girl. She was the captain of the dance team, had a ton of friends, and didn't worry about things like grades. Or much of anything for that matter. She wasn't pressed to get a job by her parents like some of the others around school, she had a good home to live in, and she had money. Her life was not at all hard and she couldn't help that. Fifteen years of a good life had gone by and she liked it that way.

The shrill sound of the bell rang through the classroom, a large smile crossing her face as she stood up and practically raced out of the door. She wore jeans, like she always did, even in the summer, and a light blue tank top that flattered her mid shoulder length hair. It was a dark brown and down in large curls that day. Simple and easy for her to manage. Briella liked for most things to be simple and easy. The only thing she really worked hard at were the dance routines she concocted but that was something for fun and not all that serious.

She blew past other people, giving a small wave to people here and there, just wanting to get out of the building. She skipped down the steps, in her own little world and didn't even see the person standing in the middle of the walkway. It was of course hard to not notice the being, but she didn't. It wasn't until she lightly brushed against her that she really found out someone was standing there. A small shock rippled through her shoulder, not enough to hurt but enough to take notice, she instantly stopping and brushing her shoulder off and looking up.

"I'm sor..."

Brielle looked up, beginning to speak but she stopped when she finally did notice the person before her. How could she miss her before? The young girl was dressed in so many clothes that she was surprised she hadn't melted away. It was almost as if she was going to a costume party of something because her clothes were very different, very Victorian looking. Her hair was a brilliant purple and so long, almost down to the ground. And those eyes. Her eyes were like large purple saucers. She had seen colored contacts before but none that were that realistic looking.

Who was she? She didn't remember seeing her at school ever. Maybe she was a new student to start or maybe she was waiting for someone. All Briella knew was that she was odd looking and certainly not normal.

"I'm sorry for not paying attention. Do you need some help or something?"

OOC: So she's of course the slightly shallow, materialistic popular girl. I figured it would be better if she was that way, that way she would have to work harder at the destiny thing and it would be such a big change to her perfect little life. Also WOW great drawing!!!!

(Briella sounds pretty cool - this is gonna be fun XD Thank you ^^)

Though Briella practically ran down the school's front steps, when she bumped into Callonesta, though the witch stumbled to the side a little, she didn't fall over. Still, she was a little startled at that... feeling. That feeling of an electric shock zipping through her body. It was more this feeling than the actual bump that made her stumble.

Calmly, passively, she glanced over at Briella, none too surprised at Briella's own surprise at her appearance. But she was surprised, her eyes going slightly wider when she saw just who Briella was.

It was her. The girl - Briella.

For a moment, Callonesta didn't even register what Briella had said. Instead, she had plum-purple eyes locked right on the girl before her, with a rather oddly calm, but powerful intensity that was almost frightening.

Blinking, Callonesta shook her head. "No... Not the help you're thinking of... Briella."

Glancing around, Callonesta gestured down the street. "Might I walk with you? I've been waiting for you to come out, and I have something of the utmost importance to discuss with you. But I can't tell it here. Not with all these people around."

She gestured at the other kids that had all come running out of the school, laughing, talking and jesting.

Briella gave Callonesta a look, wondering why it was taking her so long to respond. Her eyebrows rose a bit, her foot beginning to tap impatiently before it suddenly stopped, she hearing Callonesta. She had just said her name. How did she know what her name was? Briella quickly went back a few seconds to try and remember if she had introduced herself and she was pretty sure she hadn't.

"How did you know my name was Briella?"she asked, a slightly worried look on her face. "Wait, did my parents put you up to this? Did they send you to check up on me, to make sure I actually came to summer school. "she smiled a bit, nodding her head. That had to be it. But Callonesta's face was pretty serious and calm, meaning she probably wasn't here on her parents orders. Now this was getting quite strange.

"Umm okay, sure, I was just on my way home."she said quite slowly, really wanting to know what she was talking about. Something of importance? The most important thing in Briella's life right now was her dance team and talking on the phone with her friends. "We can go to my house, we'll have privacy there."

She began walking towards her home, getting slightly nervous. "How exactly do you know me? Are you new at the school or something?"

Callonesta nodded, ignored Briella's first question, and simply replied, as she began to follow her home, "Your house will do well, so long as none of your friends, family or anybody else, disturbs us. And your parents did not put me up to this, and they did not send me here to check up on you. I came here of my own accord and with my own purpose."

Callonesta shook her head this time. "I am not a student, new or otherwise."

Callonesta wasn't even a real child anymore - she simply looked like one. However, depending on how things worked out and how Briella took the news Callonesta was going to give her, she might decide to go to more sneaky methods to ensure Briella wouldn't try to avoid her.

"Once we reach your house, I'll be able to explain everything you need to know there - including how I know you."

Just then, realising she hadn't introduced herself, she added, "My name is Callonesta."

They weren't very far from where Briella lived and it only took about ten minutes before they were walking up the paved driveway into the large two story house. No one else was home, she figured her parents were at work and the house would be empty for hours. Lucky for her she didn't have any siblings bugging her or trying to ruin her life. Briella was still a little worried though, and she was being really trusting to let a stranger in her home. But the girl before her, even though a stranger and a little strange, didn't give off a feeling that she would harm anyone. It was just her slightly cryptic words.

"Did you want anything?" she asked, she leading the way to her room. It was large of course, the second largest in the house, and was surprisingly neat. The room was filled with dance trophies, stuffed animals, and electronic gadgets like the computer, dvd player, tv, and radio/cd player. It was certainly a typical teenager's room.

Callonesta. It was a very unique name and Briella quite liked it, just for the fact that it was unique. "Callonesta, that is an interesting name, where are you from?" she asked, sitting down on her bed. There were chairs and a small sofa in the room as well and Briella gestured for the other girl to have a seat wherever she wanted.

She gave her another strange look, huffing slightly as she crossed her arms. "Is this some kind of prank or something? It all just seems a bit odd." a small frown forming on her face.

Callonesta remained silent throughout the entire walk to Briella's house. Not until they reached the rather large house did she say anything, and though she did cast an eye around the interior, her eyes were indifferent. To her, this house, compared to the world, the universe, was tiny; it couldn't compare. Besides, she'd never really liked houses... Too small. Too confining. Nonetheless, she was polite enough to take off her shoes at the entrance.

Callonesta gave a slight nod. "Do you have any tea in the house?"

Quietly, she followed Briella up to her room, and she looked around, taking in the dance trophies, stuffed animals and electronic gadgets. A typical teenager's room.

"Where am I from?" Callonesta repeated. A pause, then a shrug. "Everywhere and anywhere."

Finding a chair, Callonesta sat down, folding her small hands in her lap and sitting up straight, staring at Briella curiously, analytically, searchingly. This was the girl who would become that witch, that most powerful witch... She looked so young now, so naive and innocent. Well, that would change with time. Growing up always did.

"It's not a prank," Callonesta responded. "I'm Callonesta, the Witch of Space of Time, otherwise known as the Witch of the Pieces. And you, Briella, are destined to become the Witch of Creation, one of the most powerful witches of all time. And I'm here to guide you to that path as your tutor in magic."

All this she said perfectly serious. "Questions?"

Tea. There was tea in the kitchen of course, her mother liked drinking it on stressful days, so Briella nodded. "I'll be right back." she said quietly, going downstairs to the kitchen. While the tea was brewing Briella tried to make sense of things. She didn't even know exactly what was going on but she could tell it would be something very strange. If this was legitimate of course. She figured it really was some kind of prank, that Callonesta was a new student and was just trying to make a friend. Briella sighed and shook her head, the tea piping hot and ready for her house guest.

She made her way back upstairs and handed the young girl her drink, she making her way back to her comfortable bed. If she was going to have to hear anything silly or strange she wanted to hear it in comfort. Briella gave Callonesta another lookover and for the first time noticed she had taken her shoes off. "Interesting." she thought to herself. Maybe where she was from, it was customary to take their shoes off. Whatever customs that Callonesta chose to follow, Briella didn't mind.

It's not a prank," Callonesta responded. "I'm Callonesta, the Witch of Space of Time, otherwise known as the Witch of the Pieces. And you, Briella, are destined to become the Witch of Creation, one of the most powerful witches of all time. And I'm here to guide you to that path as your tutor in magic."

Briella stared at Callonesta for a good few minutes, trying to digest what she was saying. If someone else was in the room they would surely think it was a prank, a joke for sure, but the way Callonesta looked, the seriousness on her face, it didn't seem like it. "Questions? well yes I do have questions. Why exactly are you making stories up? How did you find me and why did you pick me to play your tricks on?" she asked. Her voice wasn't angry, it was actually filled with slight fear. Things like this didn't happen to her. And magic wasn't real. Briella had never believed in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, or any other magical creature there was.

She stood up, getting a bit flustered. "This isn't real, magic isn't real." shaking her head over and over. But how exactly did Callonesta know her name and know things about her?

"Thank you," Callonesta said, offering Briella a polite nod as her request was granted.

Taking the cup of tea, she gave a slight frown, as if she'd expected to see something, but it wasn't there. No saucer... Modern times sure had slumped when it came to teatime etiquette. Shrugging, Callonesta raised the cup to her lips and sipped the lot liquid, letting out a contented sigh. Mm... It was all right, she supposed, for tea.

After that one sip, she looked up at Briella over the rim of her cup, taking in the girl's expression, and she was none too surprised by what she saw. In this world - in many worlds - humans of this timeslot didn't believe in the magical or the fantastical. Witch burnings and other such persecution considered, Callonesta supposed it wasn't such a bad thing... but it was a shame to have to see the magical folk have to hide themselves from society, hiding away in the shadows, fearing the humans should they be discovered. Quite distressing.

"I am not making it up," Callonesta replied, lowering her cup for a moment. "I encountered the future you on my travels. That's how I found out about you, and that I was your teacher. If that is how it's meant to be, then it's meant to be. It's no trick. And it is real - it's all real. I'm sitting right here before you. Should you ask around town, your classmates, they'll verify that I was standing there talking to you - I'm not exactly easy to miss. And magic is real. See for yourself."

Holding out one hand, Callonesta concentrated, and a faint blue glow appeared floating in the palm of her hand. That glow solidified and crystallied, forming a large crystal, a little rough and bumpy at the edges, but with smooth, polished sides, large enough to see into.

"Look closely."

Images began to appear in the sides of the crystal, as if on a TV screen, images... of Briella's own childhood.

OOC: Sooo sorry for the delay

"The future me? Are you serious?" Briella said, shaking her head in disbelief. She couldn't believe what she was hearing from her. It was all starting to make her head hurt. "See for myself, okay see for myself."she muttered under her breath, moving closer to Callonesta. She peered down at what she was holding, a small frown on her face, trying to see what it was. When she saw what it was, when she saw that a glowing ball of light just appeared in her hand, the frown disappeared and was replaced with a look of shock and awe. She stared intently, bending down to get a closer look. It turned into a beautiful crystal, she reaching out and gently touching it, to make sure it was actually there and real.

"What is that."She said in a whisper, nodding as she heard her tell her to look closely. Her eyes got wider as she watched her own self on the crystal and all the important events that happened in her life. She watched Christmases with her family, the start of school years with her friends, getting on the dance team and becoming captain, and other important things. She couldn't believe what she was looking at, it was all unreal.

She stood up, crossing her arms and sitting on the side of the bed, looking a bit disturbed. "This is all a little much, I mean to think that magic is actually real. I don't know."she said in a slightly unconvinced but knew deep down that it all had to be real. How else would Callonesta know about her life. She looked over at her, a slightly scared look on her face.

"What happens now? I mean how can I have magic in me? Or do magic, I haven't ever felt different or done anything different. How does it work exactly?"she asked. She was freaked out, very freaked out, but she figured she needed to learn a little bit about what was going on.

(That's all right X3)

Callonesta nodded, her expression impassive and unchanging. "Yes - I am perfectly serious."

She watched steadily, but carefully as Briella leaned forward to stare into the crystal, actually reaching out to touch it. The moment her fingers made contact with the crystal's surface, it appeared to ripple, like when you touch the still surface of a pool of water, and with it, the images in the crystal rippled and wavered, like a reflection. It went still soon enough, though.

Once Briella had finished looking in the crystal, Callonesta softly clapped her hands together once, and the crystal disappeared from view with a faint, fading blue glow, until it was completely gone. It was as if it had never been there.

"You'll have plenty of time to adjust," Callonesta assured her, though in reality, her tone wasn't reassuring - it hadn't changed at all, even when she saw the scared look on Briella's face. It was as impassive and calm as ever, something many people had noted on before, at least, in Callonesta's later years. So remote, so unfeeling, so cold, they all said. Monster, demon...

Hah. Fools. Blithering idiots. Imbeciles. They didn't understand anything at all, least of all her. And this Briella looked set to be just like another one of those people, though Callonesta supposed she was judging her a little too harshly - there was so much for her to take in. It would take a lot of time to adjust. And also, the Briella she'd met, the witch Briella she'd met...

"I will teach you," Callonesta replied. "And you have the potential for magic in you - you must certainly do. It's in your blood. You've never felt different from anyone? Then you've either done magic acts without realising, are denying it, or your powers simply haven't reached their peak yet. However... I can sense the magic in you even now. You definitely have it. And should your powers reach their peak, and you do not know how to control them, it'll be dangerous not only for you, but for those around you. Without proper training, you'll be out of control - so allow me to take that role. I will anyway, whether you like it or not - it's already been written in this world's timeline."
