(M) The Sliding Tavern

After confirming that the patient could be moved, the RxNXS delicately slid itself underneath the body using rollers that ran the length of the fabric cot. Strapping Sam in, the bot headed for the passage.

Outside, as Red kept the remaining wraiths at bay, Aisling used her shadow bow to dispatch several more of the creatures.

[Tikkeni]

**Oh, oh!  The bot thing just picked one of them up and is heading back up the passage!**  Sir Tikk tells Reggie.  Jumping down he cautiously follows several feet behiond the bot.

[Aisling]

The spirits were swooping around, so it was difficult to track them and also make sure the arrow wouldn't hit anything else.   Aisling was VERY practiced with a bow, so she did what she could.

The dark elf took out the remaining wraiths with her shadow bow. Red stopped blasting fire flares into the air.

RxNXS appeared at the barrow entrance with Sam strapped to it's back.

[Tikkeni]

Sir Tikk butted up against the bot at the tunnel entrance.  "Someone get this thing to move? I don't fancy being stuck in here....."

[Aries Jordan]

"Damn, she's good," Leonie said to Peter, on Aisling's prowess with a bow.  She didn't bother saying it to Aisling herself.  She'd never met (or failed to meet) a more anti-social person.

When the bot came out with Sam, she used a TK spell to move it forward another foot so that Tikky could get out.  Then she bent over the hobbit to see how he was doing.  "He's still out cold.  I guess it needs to finish rescuing him before it can go back in for the other guys."

So she dropped to her elbows and army-crawled through the passage to see if she could manage another rescue.

[Tikkeni]

Sir Tikk ran over to Leonie and rubbed against her leg, "I'm so glad you're safe!  The other hobbits are all laying on slabs, not moving and pretty cold like him."

[Merlin]

Peter watched the bot emerge with Sam, then was startled to see Leonie drop and squirm her way into the barrow tunnel. "Whoa! Leonie!" he yelped. "God, be careful, girl, okay?"

He knew his shoulders were too wide to follow her, besides not wanting to block any sudden retreat that might be necessary. Reggie touched noses with Tikk as he scurried past him to the mouth of the tunnel, cocking his head as he listened to Leonie's progress.

[Tikkeni]

Tikk licked Reggie's nose as they touched.  "Is Leonie...crazy?  She hit her head or something while I was down there?"  Tikk followed Reggie to the tunnel entrance but stayed back and peered in.

[Merlin]

**Don't know about her head** Reggie said, staring down the hole at the soles of Leonie's shoes, **but, yeah, she might be nuts at that**

[Aisling]

Aisling kept a watch in case anything else started an attack.   She kept her bow in hand.  When she sent it back into shadow, the arrows would go, too, so she was unconcerned with collecting them.  Yes it was a convenient and special magical weapon, but only one who could Shadow Dance could use it, and she was the only one the Queen had who could use it.  That's why she also had her sword and daggers.  They had been made for the First Shadow Dancer, of which she was the Third. 

She wasn't exactly sure what was going on with the burial mounds and the rest of them...  moving metal cot, unconscious small folk, humans, and whatever... at any rate.

[Aries Jordan]

"I'm okay, Tikky Fuss-Pot," Leonie said as she wriggled through the tight passage.  Both cat and dog had been down here already and ought to know whether it was safe or not. 

The passage was a good fifteen feet long, which made for sore elbows when she got there, but nothing jumped on her as she scrambled out into the larger cavern.  She made a light and studied the three hobbits' pale faces.  They weren't wearing the white robes and gold bling that the wights had put on them in the book, nor was the one long sword lying across their necks.  And Frodo wasn't awake.  This must be a different wight or wraith or whatever.

She used the TK spell as delicately as she could to lift Frodo and drift him down the passage, trying not to bang  his sagging head on the stone floor.  "Grab him!" she called as he cleared the entrance.

[Merlin]

Reggie scrambled back as he saw the top of Frodo's head gliding toward him, and Peter jumped to the entrance of the tunnel to guide the hobbit out and lay him on the ground near the med bot. "Watch him," he said to Reggie, as he went back to help with the next hobbit.

**Roger** Reggie said, laying down next to Frodo to share his warmth. **Jeeze, this guy is COLD**

[Tikkeni]

Tikk carefully stepped onto the hobbit's chest and lay down sphinx style, ignoring the parts of him that floofed over the sides with a small sniff.  He then proceeded to purr as loudly as possible.

RxNXS covers Sam with a mylar blanket and warms the cot. Red helps carefully warm the air around Frodo and rubs his feet and hands.
