"I could give it a try." Duin answered. "I would be doing it on purpose this time.."

Unlike the other times he had done it, that made this feel different. Truth be told, he was always aware of that fire. Sometimes he could feel it in his chest just...sitting there. Waiting...eager to come out. Taking a few deep breathes, he tried to just will it out like that. Didn't work. How would he willingly make it happen though? Letting a hand rest against his chest, a confused expression came to his face.

"Yeah I....I'm just trying to figure out how to do this." Duin said, a weak smile leaving him as he looked to Dagny.

Looking away from her, he narrowed his brows. That feeling of being able to melt the metal was there yet...how could he get it to happen? Shifting his feet, he took a deeper breathe, trying to wake up that fire. Nothing. Why? Why wasn't that working? There was a feeling of frustration growing in him and that's when he felt it. The fire growing in his chest, it flared and it caught him offguard. Causing him to cough and some smoke to trail out of his mouth.

"Okay....I might need your help with this..." Duin started. "Annoy me or...or make me frustrated."

Seeing him struggle with getting the fire out, Dagny shook her head as he tried again and again to bring it out, only to cough up smoke. When asked to get him frustrated, she sot him a confused glance before shrugging.

"Ok..." She sighed to herself, thinking what her mother would do if she were here. "Oh, you can't even get one little ember out of your mouth?" she asked, clearly not meaning by what she said, but hoped that it helped. "I thought you could breathe fire and the best you can do is cough up smoke? Alduin would be obliterated this chamber in a fraction of the time that you stood there trying to get some smoke to come out."

Well, she hoped that it helped.

"It always worked when I was mad...." Duin replied with a faint shrug.

At first, he didn't really feel anything towards her first sentence. But when that name came out, he felt something. Mainly the confusion he felt when Dagny's mother called him that, and when he heard a little more about this..Alduin, he didn't want to be called that. Then there was something else...something he didn't know what it was.

"Can we..not use that name..." Duin requested, a look of being uncomfortable was on his face.

Course...he did tell Dagny to make him frustrated so...she could very well keep up with the use of that name. As for Eldrin, the sound of someone arriving at his house caught his attention. A sigh leaving him as he rose from his spot, walking over to the door, and opening it slowly. A surprised look pulled at his features for a moment when he saw Eric and his wife. Though he sighed.

"If you guys were home why the hell did they go....oh daderic princes, I'm a idiot aren't I?" Eldrin said with a long sigh. "Look, I made them promise not to do anything crazy or dangerous. If there's any giant spiders for them to turn back and get their butts home, keep away from vampires and even more things."

Dagny paused when Duin requested that she didn't say Alduin. "Sure. Sorry about that." Thinking it over, she stared at the wall before looking at him. "Should I step on your foot? Maybe that will help?"

---------
Erick rushed after Brenna as she stormed off. "Brenna, wait!" he called.

Once they reached Eldrin's house, Brenna turned to face him and sighed. "We were in town when they ran off," she said. "I came to bring them home and go get the sword myself."

Letting a sigh go, Duin rolled his shoulders as he stood there. Thankful that she respected his request and didn't push the matter. Maybe when they weren't in a dangerous place, he'd explain that request. Still though...he had to figure this out. Taking a deep breathe, he tried to stir that fire to release it. He could feel it in there....it was there.  IT WAS IN THERE!!! But as he tried once more, he only coughed and sputtered out smoke.

"AAAAH I DON'T GET IT!!! I CAN FEEL IT IN THERE!!!" Duin yelled furiously, grabbing his hair and pulling slightly.

The smoke rolled out of his mouth in his displeasure. He was getting there just needed more push.
——————

“They’re...they’re already up there...” Eldrin stammered out. “ I I don’t know which way they entered it from..”

The werewolf spell caster didn’t know what to do. Course he was soon going to get roped further into the mess. The man put a bandaged hand to his head, his look of unease and panic growing.

"I should've stopped them...I...I gave in to what she wanted....I just...why'd I let them do this...?" Eldrin stammered lowly.

Dagny watched as smoke rolled out of his mouth. "But... you were so close." She reached over to touch his shoulder before pulling back. "By the Nine, I guess you've really lost touch with it." She didn't mean anything by it, she was just making an observation. But what could she say or do that would push him over the edge and spew flames from his mouth?

-----
"How long ago was it?" asked Brenna. "Did they say how far they would go in? Why would you let them go alone?"

"Brenna..." Erick put a hand on her shoulder. "Take a deep breath. We'll bring them back home."

"what touch did I ever really have with it?" Duin asked as he let go of his hair. "It was out of control when that piece got taken out of me and it would flare up ever time I get upset or angry. That word thing helped but...did we just rely on that too much..?"

The smoke would still roll out of his mouth, taking a deep breathe, he tried to breathe flames but only chocked on the smoke. A sigh left him as he stood there.

"I don't like that name....that..Alduin thing...your mother called me it and I get...a really bad feeling with it.." Duin admitted. "Let's...let's try to find some other way to get through here....sorry that I'm kind of useless.."
--------------------

"It...it was..." Eldrin started though he was interrupted by the next question. "I told them if they found massive spiderwebs to get out of there....I..."

The next question made him shrink but he gritted his teeth. She knew why....why ask? Why?

"So what almost happened in the woods wouldn't happen again!!" Eldrin snapped back. "They wouldn't be safe with me alone, you know that!! YOU'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT!!! DON'T ask me that kind of question when you know the answer to it, YOU KNOW WHAT I AM!!! It's a obvious answer!!!"

Despite snapping at her, a couple tears escaped him as he stood there. The angry look was quick to fade and show just how tired he was, he looked away from the couple, his head lowered in shame.

"I didn't want to risk hurting her.....she means too much to you two and I don't...I don't want to ever hurt her. It's bad enough she saw me losing control..." Eldrin added.

Dagny sighed. "It's alright... we can find another way." She looked to her left before hearing a few voices in the distances.

"D'you think Alduin could ever come back?" one asked.

"Nah," said the other. "Alduin is either dead or too stupid to. Besides, what dragon would be a big enough of an idiot to let some woman scare him off to wherever she defeated him at?"
------
Brenna just stood there as Eldrin snapped at her and told her that she already knew what the answer was. She hesitantly reached to touch his shoulder. "Nothing's gonna happen to them," she replied. "We'll find a way to get them out and bring them home."

Duin only gave a small nod, picking up on the voices as well, he went quiet. Pin pointing where it was coming from, he would gesture for Dagny to follow him quietly. Course he would pause once they were closer and crouch behind something, listening to their words. Alduin....that name again, it stirred that fire in his chest and as he listened, he couldn't help but feel anger at their words. Stupid? For some reason, that made the fire flare in his chest, causing the man to grab a hold of his mouth as more smoke pooled out.

why? Why did he feel...insulted? Angry? Furious? He didn't understand and yet, he felt the fire flare in it's intensity in his chest, making him wince. He gave a uncertain look to Dagny, as if asking for direction on what to do.
-----

Eldrin put a hand against his face, a few heavy breathes leaving him as he struggled to calm his pounding heart. The growing feral fury that always seemed to follow it. The hand on his shoulder surprised him, causing him to tense but he didn't do anything else. Pulling his hand away from his face, he sighed.

"I can't....I can't go the way they went...someone killed some wolves up there and it...almost set it off..." Eldrin said. "There's multiple ways in...I know where the front entrance is but I don't know where their potiental entrance links up inside that dungeon....I...I have my magic still but...I don't know how long I can last the smell of blood.."

Dagny put a hand to Duin's arm as he covered his mouth. She pulled him along as the voices continued.

"Hey, what's with all the smoke?" one of them pointed out.

"Faster," whispered Dagny as she pushed Duin along."
------
Brenna nodded. "We'll take the front entrance and see if we can't catch up to them," she said. "Lead the way."

Duin allowed himself to be pulled in a direction and he would start moving in it on his own accord, the shove when the voices remarked about the smoke made him pick up the pace. He felt like he was holding his breathe though, and running while doing that wasn't a good mix. Taking a sharp corner, he leaned against the wall and tried to keep the smoke and fire down. Sadly he wasn't able to, causing a large plume of smoke to leave him with some small embers leaving. Thankfully it didn't sound like a cough, more like how a puff of air escaped from something.

"It'....i don't..." Duin stammered out but he put a hand to his mouth again as he felt the fire flare in his chest, the man's body was already heating up even more.
------

Eldrin gave a nervous sigh.

"right...let me just, get something.." Eldrin said before heading to his bedroom.

The man would return with a set of clothes on that weren't as tattered as his normal robes. They were still of the wizard variety but they wouldn't impede his movement at all. Eldrin took to leading, trying to keep as far away from the smell of bleed that he could. The large staircase would be the sign they found where the main entrance was. No guards out front, while a welcomed sight, probably meant all the bandits were inside.

"Shouldn't be locked,thing doesn't have a key.."Eldrin whispered.

Dagny just watched helplessly as Duin had a large plume of smoke and embers leave him as he tried to keep the flames down. As she knew that the flames would give away their position, she put a hand to his overheating chest and whispered, "Ro."

She rubbed his chest a little in hopes of keeping the fires down.
------
"What do you mean it's locked?" questioned Brenna. She huffed to herself as she looked to the side. "Wuul va kes!"

She sprinted swiftly to another side entrance where she began to pull the slab away. "Give me a minute."

"Bren-" Erick sighed. Of course she wouldn't wait around...

The sensation of choking on flames was something he didn't experience before, the first time he was far too busy coughing already to notice it. Now that he was purposefully trying to keep the flames in him. A faint sound left him as his cheeks puffed slightly till he exhaled through his nose; smoke noticeable even that way sadly.  For Dagny, the warmth was noticeable as she had her hand against the fabric of his shirt, the warmth flaring as he choked slightly. Causing him to open his mouth and larger amounts of smoke to roll out. With the word uttered, there was a intensity surge of warmth for a moment before it calmed. The smoke becoming less and less as the seconds ticked by.
------------------

"It shouldn't....be..." Eldrin started but he phased as Brenna spoke dragon tongue.

A sigh left him as she seemed to disappear to go do her work. He never understood the dragon tongue, how it varied so differently from the magic he knew. He sometimes hated not knowing what she was saying, sometimes he wondered if she cussed him out in the strange languge. Other times, he just wanted to understand the magic of it.

"welp she hasn't changed. " Eldrin remarked to Erick.

As Duin choked a little on the smoke, Dagny rubbed his chest as the smoke began to subside. "There you go," she said. "Take deep breaths."

Well, now she knew what would trigger his flames. And she would do her best not to use it unless it was absolutely necessary.
-----
Erick shook his head. "She hasn't changed. She'll want to do things herself half the time."

Brenna made her way to the front door and began to chop away at it with her hand axes. Once she was able to kick the doors open, she gestured for Eldrin and Erick to follow her.

"What's the point of having this damn fire...?" Duin grumbled out lowly, trying to get some clean air into his desperate lungs.

The smoke was still subsiding and he was trying to keep his breathing quiet; just in case those people had moved to follow the smoke.
-----

"Yep, that's her..." Eldrin muttered.

She hadn't changed..maybe she was more protective now due to having her own child? Possible. And yet, the only changes for her seemed good. A family..a home...the end of Alduin...all these changes brougt good things to her. Pushing the thoughts away, Eldrin followed into the dark ruins. The smell of moss and moldy cave water would reach his nose swiftly. There was hints of smoke in the air but they were from much farther away, his sensivitve nose picking up on so many things.
